Cartoon Network Enterprises and Nexcare™ Bandages Partner to Bring “Character” to Healing Based on Ben 10 Alien Force and Bakugan Battle Brawlers - 03 February 2010
Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE) and Nexcare Bandages from 3M announced today an agreement to bring some of the most popular boys’ action properties to the first aid aisles with a new line of Nexcare™ adhesive bandages based on Ben 10 Alien Force and Bakugan Battle Brawlers. The first partnership between the two companies, this two-year deal will bring a full line of kids’ bandages to retail this spring across the mass market, supermarket channels and drug stores nationwide. The deal builds upon strong consumer products programs already in place for the Cartoon Network original action-adventure series, Ben 10 Alien Force and Nelvana Enterprises and Spin Master Ltd.’s breakout toy brand, Bakugan, extending Nexcare Brand’s offerings of Tattoo™ bandages for active kids.

TNT will be live from Dallas, TX for NBA All-Star 2010 with coverage from February 11-14. The 2010 NBA All-Star Game takes center stage on Sunday, Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. (ET) from Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, with an anticipated crowd of over 85,000 fans, the largest to watch a live NBA game. Marv Albert (play-by-play) will be courtside along with analysts Doug Collins and Reggie Miller; with Craig Sager and David Aldridge reporting. On Friday, Feb. 12 at 9 p.m. (ET), Eastern Conference All-Star starters Dwight Howard and Dwyane Wade will get behind the TNT microphone for the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam alongside play-by-play announcer Kevin Harlan and NBA TV analyst Kevin McHale. To celebrate the Jan. 31 Grammy Awards®, Turner Classic Movies (TCM) today unveiled the network’s list of 15 Most Influential Film Soundtracks. TCM’s list includes examples of orchestral scores, jazz, rock compilations and even disco, with music from such films as King Kong (1933), The Man with the Golden Arm (1955), The Graduate (1967), Saturday Night Fever (1977) and Star Wars (1977).

Legendary funnyman Mel Brooks is set to be a featured guest at the TCM Classic Film Festival in April. As part of the festivities, TCM will partner with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce as they honor Brooks with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame*, which marks its 50th anniversary this year. Brooks will also introduce a festival screening of his first feature film, The Producers (1968), which earned Brooks an Oscar® for Best Original Screenplay.Read More
