Cartoon Network had much to be thankful for in November ’08 as monthly delivery results across all targeted kid demos advanced by significant gains compared to the network’s November ’07 performance, according to preliminary data from Nielsen Media Research. Prime time delivery showed the largest increases, rising 14% among kids 2-11, 15% among kids 6-11 and 5% among tweens 9-14. Total day delivery also grew compared to the same 2007 time period, up 6% with kids 2-11, 12% with kids 6-11 and 4% with tweens 9-14.

HLN scored double-digit total day and prime-time growth in both total viewers and the demo in January 2009, posting the largest gains in prime of any cable news network. Cartoon Network Prime Time Charts Double-Digit Gains Across All Kids Demos
Across a highly competitive week for boys’ viewership, Cartoon Network ranked #1 among basic cable networks for prime time delivery of boys 6-11 and 9-14, according to preliminary data from Nielsen Media Research. Fueled by stellar performances from two new episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Friday, 9 and 9:30 p.m.) and the network premiere of Pokémon 11: Giratina & The Sky Warrior (Friday, 7-9 p.m.), Cartoon Network’s overall prime time delivery of key kids demos across the week increased between 27% and 35%, compared to the same time period in 2008.
