Release Date: 11/4/2009 TBS Gives Fans a Chance to See Their Twitter Messages in Lights with Innovative Billboard in Times Square to Celebrate the Launch of LOPEZ TONIGHT ![]() George Lopez and his followers on Twitter are making the jump from online to Broadway as part of the celebration surrounding the Nov. 9 launch of TBS’s new late-night series LOPEZ TONIGHT. From now through Nov. 15, a high-definition billboard on Broadway between 44th and 45th streets in New York’s Times Square is featuring messages from Lopez and his enormous cadre of fans. Fans who want the opportunity to have their comments featured on the screen can register and tweet through http://georgetweets.com. A scroll of selected tweets is running on the billboard in the lead-up to the debut of TBS’s LOPEZ TONIGHT. The tweets will continue throughout the show’s premiere week. In addition, the messages are running in high-definition screens in approximately 300 bars across the country, giving Lopez’s fans outside of New York the chance to celebrate the launch of LOPEZ TONIGHT. LOPEZ TONIGHT, which is set to air Monday-Thursday at 11 p.m. (ET/PT) on TBS, will feature a high energy format, with lots of audience interaction. Viewers will be swept into a fun, street-party atmosphere, with Lopez playing the consummate host. The series will showcase Lopez’s spontaneous nature as he chats with America’s favorite personalities, introduces hot new talents and grooves with top musical performers.
