NBA Digital to Provide Multi-Screen Coverage of The Finals 2012 Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, Chris Webber, and Greg Anthony to Contribute to NBA TV’s Comprehensive Coverage; More Than 40 Live Hours NBA Digital will deliver an all-access pass to The Finals across multiple platforms with more than 40 hours of live coverage on NBA TV, all the social media buzz with NBA.com’s Finals Pulse presented by Sprint, and extensive coverage on NBA GameTime, the league’s signature mobile app.
NBA TV’s full-court coverage of The Finals will include the network’s deep roster of hosts, analysts and reporters on site. Host Matt Winer will anchor NBA TV’s 13th season of Finals coverage and will be on site with the following line-up for pre-and post-game coverage:
• Games 1 and 2: Analysts Chris Webber and Kenny Smith
• Games 3 and 5*: Analysts Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal
• Game 4: Analysts Barkley and Greg Anthony
• Game 6*: Analysts Smith, Webber and Anthony
• Game 7*: Analysts Webber and Anthony
Host Rick Kamla and analysts Brent Barry, Steve Smith and Dennis Scott will handle press conferences and off-day news coverage from The Finals, with special features from reporter Jared Greenberg. Additionally, Vince Cellini will hold court from the Atlanta Studios. TNT’s David Aldridge will also report throughout the series.
The NBA GameTime app will provide fans with one-touch access to video highlights, scores, complete player statistics, and schedules throughout The Finals.
NBA.com’s extensive online coverage of The Finals will include access to live streaming press conferences, game breakdowns, complete video highlights, stats and game stories from the site’s roster of award-winning writers. In addition, NBA.com’s Finals Pulse presented by Sprint will allow users to vote, track top trending topics, and share content in real time.

NBA Digital’s complete playoff coverage also will include:
• NBA GameTime: NBA TV’s nightly studio show, NBA GameTime will air live on site throughout The Finals. The show will feature highlights, analysis, player interviews, game previews and recaps.
• Sounds of The Finals: The original series hosted by Ahmad Rashad, will follow the storylines throughout The Finals. The first 30-minute episode will cover games one through four, and air on Monday, June 16 at 7:30 p.m (ET). The second episode (if necessary, depending on the length of the series) will wrap up the series, and air on a later date (TBD). The NBA Entertainment-produced shows will provide exclusive coverage of the games plus access on and off the court, delivering all the big shots, clutch performances and memorable moments from The Finals.
• Off-Day Coverage: On non-game days, NBA TV will air NBA GameTime at 8pm ET. Each show will continue the network’s comprehensive look into The Finals with coverage of team practices, press conferences, and Finals playbacks.
• Live Streaming Press Conferences: The site will provide live streaming video for every post-game news conference.
• NBA.com's Finals Pulse presented by Sprint: The interactive social media application will allow users to track conversations, vote, and share content in real-time about NBA players and teams. In addition, Pulse will guide fans on popular trending topics to access more NBA postseason information including videos, photos, new stories, and blog posts.
• Social Spotlight: NBA.com will showcase the best tweets, photos and videos from players, fans and NBA.com writers through NBA.com’s Social Spotlight – a dynamic mosaic that flips every few seconds to highlight the conversation in the social media space.
• Micro-Movies presented by Kia: NBA.com will provide a five-minute, all-access looks at The Finals through the lenses of NBA Entertainment’s cameras, all available online after each game.
• Player of the Game: Beginning at halftime and through the conclusion of each game, users will have the ability to vote online or by text for the Player of the Game. Once the votes are tallied, the winner will be announced on air and online.
• NBA GameTime: During the playoffs, users can follow all the action through NBA GameTime, the signature mobile app of the NBA, available on multiple devices. NBA GameTime will provide live scoring, game alerts, video on demand, radio feeds, a redesigned app dashboard and full bracket view.
• Courtside: Users also can follow The Finals action through NBA GameTime Courtside, the official tablet application of the NBA, available via the iTunes App Store. Courtside will provide live scoring, a NBA dashboard view, video on demand, and full bracket view.
• NBA.com/mobile: The NBA.com mobile web site will provide users with an enhanced experience including video, series trackers and an expanded bracket view. The site will also allow users to access postseason stats, scores and standings, as well as follow their favorite players.
• Fans can engage in the social conversation surrounding The Finals by following tweets from
@NBATV and @NBA using the hashtag #FINALS to see tweets from other fans, players and analysts. Additionally, fans can ‘like’ the NBA TV and NBA pages on Facebook to see behind-the-scenes videos and photos.
