NBA TV’s Summer League Coverage to Feature 56 Live Games in 14 Days All Summer League Games Also Available Live on NBA.com & NBA Mobile

NBA TV Concludes Record-Setting 2011-12 NBA Season
NBA Digital’s comprehensive coverage of the 2012 NBA Summer League will include 56 live games in 14 days (July 9-22) available on NBA TV, NBA.com and NBA Mobile. Summer League games from Orlando (RDV Sportsplex) and Las Vegas (both the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion) will offer the first glimpse at the recent NBA Draft picks. NBA TV will regularly televise four games a day beginning Monday, July 9, in Orlando when the new-look Brooklyn Nets meet the hometown Magic, followed by the defending Western Conference Champion Oklahoma City Thunder against the Boston Celtics. NBA TV will be on site for the two consecutive weeks of Summer League action. In Orlando, Rick Kamla and Vince Cellini will share play-by-play responsibilities with analysts Dennis Scott and Kendall Gill. Matt Winer, Joel Meyers, Kevin Calabro, Kamla and Cellini will each provide play-by-play for select games in Las Vegas with a lineup of analysts including Steve Kerr, Reggie Miller, Greg Anthony, Chris Webber, Steve Smith, Scott, Brent Barry, Sam Mitchell, Rick Mahorn and Gill as well as reporters Jared Greenberg and Rob Nice. In addition to live games, NBA TV’s signature studio show NBA GameTime, hosted by Larry Smith with special in-studio guests, will provide highlights, news and information from Turner Studios in Atlanta.

Summer League games will also be available live on NBA.com and NBA Mobile through NBA SUMMER LEAGUE BROADBAND. The subscription service will offer fans a full slate of live and archived Summer League games for $14.99 via NBA.com and iTunes. On mobile, fans can download NBA Summer League, a new free app featuring live scores, video highlights, recaps and game alerts. The NBA Summer League app will include the opportunity to upgrade to a premium version with access to all live games on NBA SUMMER LEAGUE BROADBAND. NBA Game Time, the league’s signature mobile app, will also offer live scores, video highlights, player profiles and game alerts.

NBA TV enters the summer following a record-setting 2011-12 season which included:
  • NBA TV’s most-viewed regular season ever with an average of 335,000 total viewers (up 32 percent vs. last season) over the network’s 96-game schedule.
  • The network’s most-viewed telecast ever – on June 13, NBA TV’s critically-acclaimed premiere of The Dream Team presented by Right Guard averaged 847,000 viewers to become the network’s most-viewed telecast.
  • The most-viewed regular-season game in NBA TV history – on January 14, the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Clippers averaged 756,000 total viewers to become the network’s most-viewed regular-season telecast.
  • The network’s highest-rated NBA Playoff telecast – Boston vs. Atlanta, Game 2, with a 0.6 U.S. HH rating.
  • Growth across all key demos – NBA TV averages the youngest median age (35.4) of any sports network. During the 2011-12 NBA season, the network’s key demos were all up double digits including a 43 percent increase among Adults 18-34 and a 39 percent improvement among Men 18-34.
  • Double-digit increases in prime-time viewing – NBA TV averaged 150,000 total viewers in prime time, up 22 percent compared broadcast calendar year to date.
