Turner Broadcasting System Europe Limited – also known as Turner EMEA – is one of three Turner Broadcasting companies that make up Turner International.

It broadcasts to over 100 European, Middle Eastern and African (EMEA) territories and works closely with its sister operations in Asia Pacific and Latin America, as well as with Turner Broadcasting System Inc. in the US.

Turner EMEA, which launched first in the UK in 1993, currently transmits 19 branded channels via 56 feeds in 26 languages throughout the region. The ever-expanding portfolio of channels includes CNN International, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Cartoonito, TNT, Boing, Adult Swim, TCM, Star!, Silver, Showtime and glitz*. Turner EMEA is also at the forefront of brand development for web, VOD, DVD, gaming, mobile, merchandising, publishing and emerging platforms.

As part of this expansion, the company has made several important acquisitions and investments in recent years, including Scandinavian media business Millennium Media Group (MMG) and leading children’s production company LazyTown.

Turner EMEA employs around 1,200 staff in more than 30 offices.
