Cartoon Network will come to life this summer at Atlantis, Paradise Island resort in The Bahamas. Infused with family-fun, the summerfestivities will run May 25 – Sept. 3, 2012 promising even more Cartoon Network entertainment than last year. Guests can anticipate branded elements from the network’s top-rated and award-winning animated series Adventure Time including an Adventure Time themed poolside dive-in theater and a Cartoon Network, multi-brand character takeover of one of Atlantis’ most popular dining destinations, Seagrapes restaurant. Other one-of-a-kind experiences include: a costumed character parade through Marina Village featuring Cartoon Network’s much loved stars, advanced screenings of the new and highly anticipated Cartoon Network series Ben 10: Omniverse, a huge star-studded concert event featuring Gym Class Heroes to be held on June 1, and guests are invited to participate in the Cartoon Network Studios Fantasy Camp, occurring in early August, featuring members from the Emmy Award-winning studio.

Celebrating its 20^th Anniversary, along with double-digit growth and its #1 status with boys 6-11 on all of television, Cartoon Network announced today several new and returning series to its programming line-up.

Having its best first quarter with kids in prime in five years (up 28% vs. 2011) and showing the most gains compared to the competition in the kids space, the network’s afternoon Upfront presentation held at New York’s Roseland Ballroom paid tribute to the past and present with a full orchestra playing classic Cartoon Network television theme songs and live performances from the creative talent behind the hit animated comedy series Adventure Time and Regular Show.

President Barack Obama will deliver a special opening message that will introduce viewers to Speak Up, the original documentary from Cartoon Network that captures the authentic, everyday stories of America’s bullied kids and the youth who have helped them. Having already recognized the importance of dealing with this crucial issue by hosting the first-ever bullying prevention summit at the White House in 2011, Mr. Obama will speak to viewers, not only as the President but as a father and emphasize the importance of taking a stand against bullying.

Adventure Time, Cartoon Network’s hit animated comedy series returns with its fourth season on Monday, April 2, at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT). Recently nominated for its second Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Short-format Animated Program as well as an Annie Award for Best Animated Television Production for Children, Adventure Time has become a genuine ratings and pop culture phenomenon since its April 2010 debut. Most recently season three of the series earned the distinction of being the #1 program on Monday nights (7-9 p.m.) on all of television with kids 2-11, according to Nielsen Media Research.
