 NBA TV will televise the second annual NBA Social Media Awards presented by SAP – celebrating NBA players, teams and fans for their social engagement throughout the 2012-13 NBA regular season – on Wednesday, June 12, at 8 p.m. (ET). Chris Webber (@realchriswebber) will host the show along with contributions and appearances from various players and celebrities.  PGA.com – the official website of The PGA of America which is managed by Turner Sports – today launches the PGA Digital Golf Academy, a new online subscription product offering high-quality instructional videos featuring PGA Professionals that is designed to help golfers improve their game.

 NCAA.com to Provide More than 450 Hours of Live Streaming Video
From 2013 NCAA® Spring Championships

 NCAA.com and the free “NCAA Sports” iPhone app, both managed by Turner Sports, will be the official home of the 2013 NCAA® spring championships with more than 450 combined hours of live streaming video including coverage of more than 200 events. The Live NCAA spring championships coverage will begin Friday, April 26, with the Division III Men’s Volleyball Championship from Rochester, N.Y., and continue through June 2.

A total of 30 championships will be streamed live exclusively on NCAA.com including Division I men’s and women’s golf, Division I men’s and women’s tennis, National Collegiate men’s volleyball, National Collegiate women’s water polo and Division II and III men’s and women’s lacrosse. Buick is the sponsor of NCAA.com’s live streaming coverage of men’s baseball, men’s lacrosse and women’s softball. With a focus on their Human Highlight Reel, Buick will run video and branded media across NCAA.com’s spring Championship coverage and across the NCAA Sports iPhone app coverage.

NBA Digital Delivers Record-Setting Regular Season  - 18 April 2013

 NBA Digital delivered a record-setting 2012-13 regular season across television, online and mobile screens. Highlights include NBA TV’s most-viewed complete regular season ever, NBA.com setting all-time records in page views and video streams, and NBA Mobile generating all-time video stream totals.

NBA TV averaged 336,000 total viewers for its 98 regular-season telecasts, up 33% over the last full NBA regular-season in 2010-11 (253,000).

 NBA Digital to Provide Comprehensive Coverage of 2013 NBA Playoffs Across Multimedia Platforms

NBA Digital will be the home of the most expansive league playoff coverage across multiple screens including up to nine first round games on NBA TV – part of the network’s more than 1,500 hours of playoff programming – special features on NBA.com such as the Social Spotlight and NBA Playoffs Pulse, and extensive NBA Mobile offerings including the signature NBA GameTime app.

NBA TV will televise originally-produced first round playoff games, pre- and post-game studio programming, live press conference coverage and replays of every game. The network’s live game telecasts will tip off with the Miami Heat hosting the Milwaukee Bucks (first round, Game 2) on Tuesday, April 23, at 7:30 p.m. ET. Kevin Calabro will call the game with analyst Greg Anthony and reporter Craig Sager.

TNT’s Extensive Coverage of the 2013 NBA Playoffs Begin Sunday, April 21  - 18 April 2013

 TNT, in its 29th consecutive year of NBA coverage, will televise more than 40 playoff games – the most of any network – including first and second round action and the exclusive presentation of the 2013 NBA Eastern Conference Finals. The network’s playoff coverage will tip off Sunday, April 21, with a tripleheader – Atlanta vs. Indiana at 1 p.m. ET; Milwaukee vs. Miami at 7 p.m. and Houston vs. Oklahoma City at 9:30 p.m.

The network’s Sports Emmy Award-winning playoff coverage will include five commentator teams during the first round:

 “The Doctor” a New NBA TV Originals Documentary to Premiere During The Finals on Monday, June 10 - 15 April 2013

 As NBA fans prepare to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Philadelphia 76ers’ 1983 title, the team’s leader, Julius “Dr. J” Erving, will be the next subject in the award-winning NBA TV Originals franchise when the network presents The Doctor, a 90-minute documentary airing between Games 2 and 3 of The Finals on Monday, June 10, at 9 p.m. ET.

Many basketball fans were introduced to Erving when he joined the NBA at age 26, and what they saw was some of the most amazing aerial artistry in the game. What most didn’t see, however, was the young Doctor, reinventing the sport during his five spectatular seasons in the ABA. Through rare archival footage, all aspects of Dr. J’s career will come to life again in this film.

2013 NCAA Tournament Delivers Record-Setting Video Consumption Across All Digital Platforms  - 10 April 2013

 NCAA March Madness Live, managed by Turner Sports, generated record-setting video streams and engagement across all digital platforms for the 2013 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship. Across online and mobile (tablets and smart phones) platforms, NCAA March Madness Live garnered 49 million live video streams, up 168% vs. 2012, and more than 14 million hours of live video consumed – both all-time records.

In partnership between the NCAA, Turner Sports and CBS Sports, NCAA March Madness Live was launched from www.ncaa.com/marchmadness, www.cbssports.com and www.bleacherreport.com, and was available via the App Store and Google Play.

The NCAA March Madness Live app has ranked No. 1 as the top sports app in the App Store and Google Play during the tournament. It was also the No. 1 free app across all categories in the App Store.

 2013 NCAA® Division I Men's Basketball Championship on TBS, CBS, TNT and truTV is Most-Watched Tournament in 19 Years - 09 April 2013

 The 2013 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship across CBS, TBS, TNT and truTV is the most-watched NCAA Tournament in 19 years, according to Nielsen. The 2013 NCAA Tournament averaged 10.7 million total viewers, up 11% from last year’s 9.6 million total viewers, and is the highest average for the NCAA Tournament in 19 years (11.2 million; 1994).

The National Championship game, which saw Louisville defeat Michigan on CBS on Monday, April 8, earned an average fast national household rating/share of 14.0/22, up 14% from last year’s 12.3/19 (Kentucky-Kansas). The National Championship game averaged 23.4 million viewers, up 12% from last year’s 20.9 million.
