Kobe Bryant Wins “Social MVP Award” During  NBA TV’s 2013 NBA Social Media Awards presented by SAP

NBA TV announced the winners of the 2013 NBA Social Media Awards presented by SAP during a one-hour show last evening, Wednesday, June 12, which celebrated NBA players, teams and fans for their social engagement during the 2012-13 NBA season. The Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant took home two awards – the “Social MVP Award” and the “140 Award” for the best use of characters in a tweet.

The Miami Heat’s Harlem Shake video, which has received more than 45 million views, won the “OMG Award” for the team with the best video shared via social. Additional winners included Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook receiving the “#Trendsetter Award,” and Portland’s Damian Lillard accepting the “Social Rook of the Year Award.”

 NCAA.com Launches Mobile Event App for 2013 NCAA® Men’s College World Series - 11 June 2013

College baseball fans attending the 2013 NCAA Men’s College World Series (June 15-25/26) in Omaha will have all the event information at their fingertips courtesy of a new free app available for iPhone, iPod touch and select Android devices. The NCAA Men’s College World Series app will include complete tournament and Fan Fest schedules, interactive maps, news, live scores, ticket information, social media integration and more.

 Chuck D to Narrate NBA TV’s The Doctor Premiering June 10, at 9 p.m. ET - 03 June 2013

The Heat/Pacers Game 4 telecast is up 26% in U.S. HH rating and 24% among total viewers compared with the network’s coverage of the 2012 Western Conference Finals Game 4 (4.1 U.S. HH rating; 6.5 million total viewers).
